Quick Turnaround Storage Move in Yarm

We had a call earlier this week from a customer in Yarm who needed help fast. She was moving out of her house on short notice and needed everything shifted into storage the same day — she hadn't had long to plan and was understandably stressed about getting it all sorted in time.

The Job

The property was a mid-terrace on the west side of Yarm, not far from the High Street. It was a two bedroom house with a reasonable amount of furniture — beds, wardrobes, a sofa, dining table, boxes of personal items and kitchen equipment. She had already booked a storage unit at a facility near Stockton and just needed someone to get everything there safely and quickly.

We arrived at the property mid-morning and got straight to it. The living room furniture came out first — sofa, coffee table and TV unit — followed by the dining table and chairs. The bedrooms were next, with both bed frames dismantled to make loading easier. Everything was loaded carefully into the Transit Connect, with furniture blankets used on the larger items to protect them in transit.

Getting to Storage

The storage facility was about ten minutes from Yarm down the A135 toward Stockton. We backed up to the unit, unloaded everything methodically and helped stack the items to make the most of the available space — beds at the back, boxes stacked on top of each other, furniture arranged so she could still access things at the front if needed.

The whole job was done in under three hours from our arrival at the Yarm property to locking up the storage unit.
